Just watched it - all the way through.

Really looking forward to 2018 and all the new things you have in the works!

Hope to be able to help the community more this year myself.

Great work Michael - Corrie & all the crew you listed in the credits.

Yes, just saw the video. Thumbs-up! And totally agree (about some people), a big reason why I head for the hills (even on a work day), just to decompress, meditate, zone-out, etc... before I start my shift (I have the luxury, of not having to be to work till later in the day).

Had me worried for a minute... but no, the exact opposite. Thanks for taking this on full time @Michael and taking it to the next level. OB is definitely going places!

Congratulations on jumping in with both feet! We really appreciate your commitment and love not only for this wacky Overland community but for preserving and protecting our wild places.
Since we’ve become involved with Overland Bound you’ve inspired Merri and myself to take on a more proactive role in educating and “leading by example” in regards to keeping and regaining access to our public lands.
In comparison to the West, we here in the Midwest have far less public lands available to us and those are constantly being closed off to Overland travel and primitive camping due to misuse and abuse.
Which brings me to a question we’ll be asking in a different thread, here and across other social media; Where can we go to learn more about “Leave No Trace”, “Stay The Trail’, etc. along with good, sound, trail etiquette and preservation?

Thanks, and keep up the great work you’re doing.

Thank you! Thanks for watching, and thank you for being a part of the community! We're excited here too. A couple "near term" features and improvements on the roadmap:
  1. New hosting environment: Improved server architecture will make EVERYTHING faster.
  2. WayPoints in Rally Point (not just start and end) so you can do actual route planning and share it.
  3. Version .9 of the iOS and Android (Q3) app with a bunch of cool features.
Cheers!

Hi there! That is great to hear! To become familiar with proper trail use and etiquette there are two primary resources (and many more). I'd head to Tread Lightly and to Leave No Trace to get started.

I hope to see you on the trail!

As a thoroughly rubbish photographer anything that would improve my photographic shortcomings is truly appreciated. This video was simple and inspirational - thanks Michael really appreciated.
Here’s my first go using the free mobile version with a before and after...
