Medicine Bow Ntl Forest - Wyoming

Looking at getting up to Medicine Bow near Centennial WY in the next few weeks. Anyone know how trails are looking up there?

Record snow. You won't get anywhere up there until late June depending on the weather. They don't even open the highway until the end on May.

we just got another 5 inches in cheyenne yesterday so I am going to say mid July before the trails above 8k ft open in the Bows.

This is what it looks like near there today! So I bet it is not going to be plesant if you get off of the blacktop in the next couple weeks. WY and CO are both over average in snowpack this year.

Parking lot at hospital in cheyenne right now. 6100 ft. Most trails in the bows are above 8 k and some at top are over 10k ft

Same here in Pine Bluffs. My son and friends are still snowmobiling in the Snowys. The base is still 6-8 feet on the highway. The SNOTEL site is a great place to take a look at snow levels and there are a few in the snowy range that you can check.

Any update on weather up there? Looks like it has been fairly warm lately.

I have not been there in a while. We did get 20 inches of snow 6 days ago so its probably still snowed in.

I just came through highway 130 over the Snowies on Monday and the snow is still pretty deep. Virtually all side roads still sitting with a few feet of snowpack.
