Hi Mike,

The maps work just fine here in France, a little thin on the ground for routes and trail but we are doing our best to catch up.

If you want or need any help in France don't hesitate to call we have space for rigs to stop over and anyone is welcome.

Cheers Paul and Nicky

Hi my first post on here

Please advise is there good support for Maps / Trails on this app for outside of the US? For example in Europe / UK ? Thanks in advance.
Hi Michael,

Welcome to Overland Bound!

If you like to introduce yourself to the community you can do that here.

Local information for any of the OB regions can also be found in the Overland Bound by region forum. Each region has its own sub-forum. UK, for example, belongs to the region West Europe. So, this link leads to the West Europe subforum. Feel free to introduce yourself to your local area here.

Please take a look at the Rally Points for planned events. There you can filter by region. There are plenty of meetups planned for 2024 for Europe already. We also do a virtual campfire once a month, there are always members from many regions of Europe. This is a relaxed online talk about overlanding, trip plans, gear, everyday life and more with like-minded people. Just join us next time if you like.

Have a look at the OB map, in the resources, you will find a lot of POIs and tracks in Europe and also in the UK. And if you have something interesting to add, feel free to do so. The OB1 app is an excellent source also outside the US. It is constantly being developed and a lot of user input is taken into account. That's great. The important thing to understand is that @Michael and his team provide us with an excellent technical platform. We, the members and users, have to fill it with content. Because the members and users of the app are the ones who can do this, as we are on the adventure trips all over the world. A project like this thrives on participation and I can only encourage everyone to do so. So everyone on the road has interesting and important information and saves waypoints somewhere. Let's add them to the OB map and make and maintain the OB1 app a valuable information source for overlanders.

If you have any other questions just ask, please. Always happy to help.

Safe travels,

Bjoern
