Adventured out off the 395 stopping off at Rock Creek Lake, Shepherds Hot Springs, Crab Cooker Hot Springs and Whitney Portal.
There's plenty of BLM land to camp over night and the views are breathtaking and if you like to fish, there's a fishing hole around every corner.20190524_094748.jpeg20190524_095427.jpeg20190524_095823.jpeg20190524_100111.jpeg20190524_100947.jpeg20190524_105231.jpeg20190524_110033.jpeg20190524_110747.jpeg20190524_160446.jpeg20190525_111012.jpeg20190525_111934.jpeg20190525_161115.jpeg20190525_201630.jpeg20190526_111915.jpeg20190526_122659.jpeg20190527_070602.jpeg20190527_095454.jpeg20190527_100340.jpeg

Incredible pics.

I'm heading up to Laurel Lakes for a few nights this Sunday into next week. I'm even more excited now. Any concern (safety) with just hopping into the hot springs?
Hi Jason
The hot springs are amazing, but you do have to make sure it's not to hot for you before you jump in and its advised not to dunk your head under water. There's never been a case reported in the Mammoth area but there is a hot water parasite that lives in hot springs that can cause brain damage if they enter your system, so just keep your head above water and you'll be fine. The hot springs are on BLM land so you can camp right next to them and relax while watching a sunset or sunrise, have a great trip.
