I USED TO HAVE A TOYOTA HJ61 TURBO DIESEL CAMPER WITH SNORKEL. MY YOUNG HUNTING BUDDY FINISHED INSIDE WITH LOTS OF GEAR WE USED IT TO HUNT SHEEP AD ELK WEST OF CALGARY IN THE ROCKIES. WE CROSSED THE LIVINGSTONE RIVER IN 4 FEET OF WATER, NO WATER INSIDE AND NO DRIFTING DOWNSTREAM IN FAST FLOWING WATER. WE GOT THE ELK. I SOLD IT IN 2015 WHEN I MOVED INTO CALGARY AFTER RETIRING. THE FELLOW THAT BOUGHT IT OWNED SEVERAL LAND CRUISERS HAD BEEN LOOKINHG FOR A HJ61 FOR YEARS. HE DROVE IT TO CALIFORNIA AND PUT LARGE TIRES WITH SPECIAL RIMS ON IT AND AN AIR SYSTEM SO HE COLD LI=OWER PRESSURE TO 5 POUNDS FOR OFF ROAD AND PUT THEM BACK TO 30 FOR ON ROAD. THE TIRES WERE ABOUT 45 INCHES HIGH. HE DROVE BACKACROSS DEATH VALLEY AND THE AC WORKED FINE.So I have a 2017 Ram Power Wagon which I am converting into an overland rig.
