THIS was a challenge. In hindsight, it would have been easier to simply sell this trailer and build a "square" one from scratch. There was no one 90 degree angle anywhere on this trailer. Every piece I added had to be hand fitted to try and get it even close back to square!

But I think it came out OK....

Here is a quick walk around video...

And you can read a full article with tons of pictures that I posted on my web site

Nice write up. I like the small relay panel. Did that come in the otterbox or did you mod the box to fit it?

Thanks for the kind words....All a labor of love!

I had that Otter Box from another project. Cleaned it up and mounted the fuse panel in it.

Clean job, great work!

Would be fun to catch up with you on the road somewhere sometime. I'm north of you on the coast of Maine for a few more weeks, then heading back west for several months.

Well I loaded up all the gear I intend to take with me to see what the trailer weighs loaded.
Smithybilt RTT
45L 12V refrigerator
Kitchen box
two 5g water jerry cans
portable toilet
propane shower water heater
pop up shower tent
Portable solar panels

Total weight was just over 1200 pounds!

I'm shocked at how much it weighs......Wanted to be under 1000#....Need to go on a diet!

Not bad. Mine weighs a little over 1300. 10 gal water tank, 12 gal of fuel , slightly bigger and probably a few more items.
