Hey everyone. Planning an outing to test out some new gear and get some miles on the rig before summer. I have been looking around Vantage, Whiskey DIck Wildlife Area, Quilomene WIldlife Area , Quincy Lakes Wildlife Area.

Looking for any advice or knowledge on heading out into this area (will be mid March, not now). Difficulty levels, ease of traversing the terrain, good campsites. I appreciate it.

That area was hit hard by fire since I was last there, so my data might not be accurate any more.
In march plan on a lot of mud.
Roads get closed up there, so make sure you have extra gas and have downloaded the map or have a paper one to use.
Camping is wherever you find it - exploration is part of the fun.
Watch out for cows & leave gates the way you found them.
Some of the rocks are pretty sharp. One person in our group had his sidewall sliced.

Quincy lakes has good fishing and an interesting hiking trail. Not on my top list for overlanding or gear testing though.
