My daughters are working at a camp in Bigfork, MT. We are going to pick them up and spend a week in the Couer D'Alene area starting 7/4. I am not really looking for trails as much as just great places to camp and fun outdoor activities. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not from the area but have been up there a lot and know there is plenty to see and do. Might reach out to @Sandpoint Steve, I think he is from around there and might be able to give you some ideas.

I'm doing something similar 3rd week of July. Going to be spending about a week in the (north of) Spokane and ID area and looking for 'must see' type places or camping/views.

Here are some thoughts. Also includes section 8 of the Idaho Back Country Discovery Route.
Northern ID Camping and IDBDR GPX file.

1. I know the last bit to Cooks lake I recommend a spotter and a high clearance vehicle.
2. Not sure about the BDR section marked "Expert Only" could be fun...
3. I have heard the Out and Back section to Lunch Peak might be under construction this summer 2021.
4. I think the rest should be typical Forest service roads.
