So I’m just starting to research and build my truck for camping and minor overlanding. Truck is a 2016 Ram 2500 Cummins crew cab long bed. Usually the bed is full of tools as I’m a contractor. I tow a 16’ dump trailer a few days a week. On the weekends it pulls a Nautique 226TE wakeboard boat. Im I’m looking into setting it up for trips, mostly state parks on the lake where we put the boat in the water. My wife won’t tent camp on the ground anymore. Don’t blame her. I have modified it some so far. full Carli Backcountry suspension. 5000lb airbags in a daystar cradle. Factory parts that have fallen off and good tuning. So for camping, I would like to do a RTT with annex, and a 270 awning. Most sites have power and water, so not worried about batteries or solar at this time. but I do want to set up a kitchen slide system , 2 burner stove/sink combo and storage for dry goods, camp chairs and table and the wakesurf boards. I did order the Renegade trifold tonneau cover, it supports 2000lb and have to order the 8-12-19in rack for the tent.
anybody have any pics of a real fullsize setup? Not an raptor or f150 or Silverado—they are light duty trucks. I mean an full-size HD truck. Trying to get ideas of what I want to do.
