I’m working on our lighting for our rigs. On the jk, I’m putting hella e codes in with 4300k bi xenon kit in 35w variety from retrofit source . I’m mounting a set of 500 driving beams on the front bumper with 55w 4300k hid in them. I ran these for years and have found no led light that can come close to these. Rigid or the like do not have the power to cut through the dark like the retrofitted hella lights.

on our patriot in using the same 4300 bi xenon kit from the retrofit source. On the front using a rocky road mount, I willbe using hella 450s with 55w 4300 k hid in them. I am not a fan of led lighting for forward lighting. I had truck lites and Jw speakers and my e codes with just hella performance 2.0 halogens were better.

Hid is the real deal.

I'm far from flashy, but use these lights every night on the desolate county road to my house.

Wow, five years later and my lighting has changed a bit. LED's, HIDS's, Floods/fogs/spots, Oh my! It's still a simple and understated lighting setup compared to most.
