We are thinking of moving to Connecticut and I was wondering what the lift laws were there. I have a 2000 XJ with a 4.5” lift and I was wondering if I would have trouble getting it inspected.
i live in the unconstitutional state they call CT.... No inspection here. All you will have to do to get the truck registered is get an emissions test (obd2 plug in) and a vin verification. Both done at the emissions place. They just fill out a form saying what your vin number is and sign it. The Vin verification is only for out of state vehicles.
Emissions test is $20 and i THINK the vin verification is free..... thats it. Then take that info and your title to DMV and register.
There are lift laws here and not sure exactly what they are but i drove a 6" lifted F150 on 35s for years and no issues. There are also Superdutys and Chevys all over the place here on 37s and 38s...... no issues.
