Recently did Van Zyl’s pass in Namibia. 11km (7,5mi) took the whole day to complete. The roads leading up to and away from the actual pass turned out to be even worse

That section at 48 minutes to 53 minutes looked pretty sketchy - and the camera never does translate how steep this actually is - but at 52:30 that to me showed how steep that was - and one guy did it with a trailer! - haha. Some great drone footage. Good stuff.

Trip to Nemo Tunnel and the MABAT trail back home. Took us thru Antietam Battlefield, very sobering and humbling place. 1200 miles of back roads and forest service roads, some of which were very rough. One 3 mile section took over an hour to crawl thru. Another 13 mile section took over 3 hours to get thru. About 500-600 miles of it was on dirt/gravel/mud.

I didn't see anything saying it was closed and it wasn't blocked off, so I went thru it.

Some of our best trail experiences have been when we leave camp behind and head out on foot. Yesterday we came across an amazing couple living high in the mountains in northern Sichuan Province, China. The stonework around their house was hundreds of years old and they were descendants from the Ba People (white tiger riders).
