Let’s see vintage or early pictures of you and family out camping!

I know that there are many of you that have Overland before it was a “thing” car camping or even camps backpacking, hunting camps, Boy and Girl Scouts and the like. My Dad was an avid outdoorsman, Gun Smith and Hunter. I got my first deer at 6 years old! I wish I still had some pictures of those earlier times in my life enjoying the outdoors, but I don’t. A friend of mine recently sent me some pictures of a “Survival Campout” we did where we did not bring a tent or shelter, and no food for the weekend. My brother snuck in some food and boy we were glad he did! So how about posting old pictures of yourself, family Overlanding, Camping, Hunting Camps Scouting camps Backpacking and the like? I don't have any vintage photos at hand as they are all back with family in Maine, but this is a really great thread idea, loved seeing the pics so far.

My grandparents hosted a campground way up in the Sierras. My love of the outdoors started with daily life and strengthened with camping. My 16th birthday, tent, ice chest, lantern, sleeping bag, stove. A little card that said you’ll always have a place to stay, wherever you are.

This photo is about a mile from a camp, that was about a mile and a half from anywhere. Dragging my mom across a creek. I hope the photo is larger than a thumbnail, can’t tell with this beta app yet.
