finally found one back in a 4X4 joining team Toyota is a 03 plate Lc3 130 miles, chassis is ok it has had some work done in the past but the work looks good I'm happy. I hope you find one soon!!! I will let you know if it brakes down as much as my disco did!
That's great, glad you found something! Looks in good condition from the pictures. Can I ask how much you paid for it? Like you say, so many of them seem to be overpriced, that it's difficult to get a hold on what I should be paying.

so I paid £4500 and I'm very happy about that it does need a service and some odd jobs but I'm ok doing that. I think it was cheaper because it is an LC3 (what I wanted so less to go wrong) and a manual. I was happy to find one that had a chassis that is not in bits as they all will have some rust now and only 130k on the clock! from what I have seen around the £5000-£6000 is a good place for the LC3-LC4 but I do see people asking this for one with 200k miles on them but I guess it's good the price is holding. I did look at one that was low mileage 80k and the chassis was trashed so it's all about how it has been looked after as people don't wax oil anymore.

what I did do near then end is ask people to take a video of the chassis to save me a drive and the disappointment. the place I found them to have gone is the anti-roll bar links in the wheel arch and I think they are called the rear trailing arms (the big bar that links to the chassis from the rear wheel) as these have been replaced on mine!

I do hope it is a good truck but as its such an old truck its all pot luck now.

I'm sure you will find one you like it took me a long time just hope its better than the Disco lol!
