G'day
When I been doing a lot of searching on here for anyone with a 70 series Troopy (troop carrier) with no luck.

So I thought I’d start this one, hopefully in the right place .

As I’m very proud and lucky to have secured one of the very last new available in New Zealand Land Cruiser 78 Troop Carrier.
The model range has been cut from 4 models to just 3 models and the option in the two door and four-door Utes being available with the V8 manual, or the four-cylinder automatic.
I’m impressed with my new today V8 manual diesel.

Time to explore and get a feel of things before building out the rear to sleep in for myself and my dog.

Awesome. Congrats on your new rig, Peter. Enjoy the built and even more important the upcoming trips with your Troopy.

Did I understand correctly, the 78 Tropopy is not available in New Zealand with the 2.8 diesel or why did you choose the V8 diesel?

Nice rig. I’ve been working on the last 2 years on a troopy that was abused for 20+ years. Posted a blog on the build. There are very few parts left from the original car.
