Working remote for two weeks while traveling.

Last year I got a great new job that had me relocate from Portland, OR down to LA in about a week. I passed by everything and didn't get a chance to view anything since the timeline was cut way short. I now have an opportunity to make the drive again, take my time, and work remote from wherever for two weeks! (August 26 - September 8)

This idea started just from wanting to go to the Portland All British Field Meet over Labor Day weekend. I'm taking the dog in GroverTheRover for a week to drive up the coast and camping out in the truck wherever we happen to stop then doing the same on the inland mountain side on the way back!

This is a little bit of a last minute trip to capitalize on being able to work remote for two weeks instead of working at the Virgin Hyperloop One office.

If anyone has any good recommendations for places to explore/camp along the coast on the way up or along the Sierra's on the way back I'll add them to the list, and do a full trip report at the end.

Here's the list of points so far that will be updated as it happens.

Sun Aug 26 - LA to Big Sur Somewhere (tentative)
Mon Aug 27 -
Tues Aug 28
Wed Aug 29 - somewhere to Oregon Dunes
Thurs Aug 30 - Oregon Dunes to Observation Point Tillamook State Park
Fri Aug 31 - Portland
Sat Sept 1 - Portland
Sun Sept 2 - Portland
Mon Sept 3 - Portland to Crater Lake
Tues Sept 4
Wed Sept 5
Thurs Sept 6
Fri Sept 7 - somewhere to Mammoth Lakes
Sat Sept 8 - Mammoth Lakes to LA

The Oregon coast is beautiful to drive along. Unfortunately there is virtually no beach camping. There are state parks and USFS campgrounds that are right on the beach. You are going to be here just before Labor Day so the campgrounds on the coast may be full. There is forest service land inland from the coast where you can wild camp. Get a copy of the Ultimate US campground app. It will show you all the campgrounds along your route.

Good idea on the US campground app. The wild camping will definitely be the flavor of the trip since I won't need to set up or tear down anything.
