I'm a newb to off-roading and haven't met anyone yet. I have the lovely stock Outback pictured to your left, but I'm shopping for a 4Runner that I could pick up soon. Either way I'll meet up and do what I can.

Those Outbacks can be quite capable, but the 4 runner would be a game changer for sure. When we get a plan together you are more than welcome to join in on the fun! Also if you have questions about different 4runners feel free to message me. We have a Toyota dealership. I am very familiar with every trim out there, and i'm happy to help out with any questions you have.
