Just some tracks and camping in the south of the Netherlands

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance this week and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

The last day of the weekend we went from Lommel, Joe's Bridge to Overloon.
As the route in those days nowadays goes straight from one village to village and towns, that route isnt that funny anymore.
So, instead of driving that one route, I made a switch between one and another route. So, we drive through the area were they fought and find some little treasures.
The thing we will find is that we more or less see how that area of the Netherlands could have looked like and hoe roads were in those days.
Together with some stories I hope people will love that experience when I put it up as a Rally point.

Even as this little road isnt that long, it had a nice little patch in the middle. And even as it is fairly dry at the moment, there was enough mud to get 4 high engaged.
The fields left and right were just as then, muddy and moist. Which means, just stay on the road otherwise you will be bogged to the eyeballs.

Something you hardly see in the Netherlands. Trash.
Well it isnt there anymore.

Outside the war museum. I hope it will be open soon.

Really looking forward to guide people over the route we made and in the meantime I will find all kind of stories about Market Garden and the WW2 to tell people during the days.

Sounds like a supercool trip! Would be great to do this in a group with you as soon as it is possible again! Looking forward to that!
