Howdy big rig crew! After 10 years adventuring around in a 3rd gen 4Runner, I picked up a new full-size rig this weekend. She's a '95 Chevy Suburban k2500 and I'm stoked to get working on it. The engine, transmission, and drive train have all been well maintained by the previous owner. After picking it up, I had some 265/75r16 Open Range all-terrains mounted and brought her home. Only major needs right now are some new shocks and a good detail on the interior.

Long term plans are to turn this into a weekend warrior trail rig for the growing family. Next up will be ditching the running boards, new shocks, front receiver, recovery winch, and hitting the trails with it.

Progress update: went through the rig top to bottom and did a full tune up, replaced some minor parts, took it in for a transmission health check, got that intercooler addressed, and vacuumed it out good.

Took the family up a fairly tough trail for a great view of Cache Valley, UT. Only drug the running boards like, 4 times.

Thanks (I think. You mean my name because you have Beagle in yours as well?)

Beagles are the best! And his voice IS thunderous when he's in hot pursuit

I love those older GMT 400 series trucks! And that scenery is something to behold.
