Just wondering what JKU owners and others have on thoughts regarding which location has been found easiest to install with routing wires, removing panels, etc. and long term use. I am sure they are other threads but I am new here and cannot seem to find them. If so - please direct me. Thanks!!

I have the original Apollointech with the volt meter in the middle. It looks like they made a better one now. HERE. It was very easy to install, plus if you need help there are install videos on youtube.

Apollotech switch version I put mine on the upper windshield frame. If I spent the big dollars and got the digital screen SPOD unit, it would go on the dash.

Have you considered a wireless system? No wires to route, full control of lighting in or out of vehicle. I have a 4 channel system going on 2 years and it's been 100% reliable. I find I use it outside the rig a lot for the rear lighting. Each channel has a relay and harness although the controller is rated at 20 amps per channel. Keeping below 1 amp should make it bullet proof.

I did not know that option even existed! Can you provide a link?

I can't post a Amazon link so search

AmeriLite Universal 4 Channel 12V Remote Control Module 20A PER Channel
at Amazon. Same unit I have. I mounted it next to the battery, I have a bank of relays for all my add ons. The terminals are some what exposed so I coated them with liquid electrical tape to water proof them. I was skeptical on how long this would live because of the low cost, but it's been perfect for over 2 years. Keep in mind how the antenna well run and I would use a relay for each channel to keep the amps down at the control unit.

I have this setup on my Ram and we just got one for my son's Trooper. Works great. I built a panel for it and the master power switch for my winch next to the battery.
