I was thinking about doing a quick run this weekend on the Palomar Divide Road but I see conflicting reports on whether it's open or closed. Does anyone know for sure?
Is Palomar Divide Road open?

I was just camping up in Palomar Mountain last weekend (first time since I was a kid). Even though it was in Cleveland Nation Forest I did not find much of anything that was open to vehicle travel other than the regular County Roads. I asked a ranger about Divide Road and\or truck road and he seemed to indicate all was closed. I was not able to find an unlocked gate but I was not 100% sure. Did you ever make it here? I'm curious... Still looking for fun back road options around SD for short overnights.
