I'm newly retired from the Military (Canadian, 23yrs of active duty) I'm embracing the whole minimalist lifestyle and chose overlanding as a good way to escape the "rat race". This summer would be the beginning of the adventures. Wouldn't mind acquiring a Overland Trailer at some point to make the traveling more "comfortable" and functional. I'm currently located in Edmonton, AB Canada. I plan on leaving for 5-6 weeks trip hitting 14 USA National Parks and roaming freely.
Here's a picture of my set up so far. Last weekend was my 1st trip of the season. Couple kinks to iron out but overall it was a great success.
