Here is what I found that appears to indicate the area is closed. Below is the link to the full document which lists a number of specific camp grounds and areas. Not the easiest memo to understand. I also have attached the Forest Service Order but the link is also below in case I did not attach the file properly.

As of now, the trail is still open. This trail is in the Tahoe Wilderness

We should be fine baring any new fire activity. The US Forest Service posted yesterday on their Facebook page that they had re-opened the Rubicon Trailhead.

Hi All-New here but was invited by JC Wages. 5th gen 4Runner with full skids, lift and sliders. Looking forward to next weekend!

How does this route compare to the hard way up to Signal Peak? Both have the same staging area.

And no winch. What time are you expecting to be off the trail?

Auggie indicated initially meeting in Nevada City at 8:30 then at the Cisco Gove exit on Hwy 80. There’s a Chevron station at that exit, so a good place to top off gas, grab a coffee and use the rest room. I’m sure Aggie will reconfIrm all times before Saturday. I’ll meet at the Chevron at Cisco Grove.

I'm running a 2dr JK Sport on 33" tires with a stock bumper and do not have a winch. Do you think I would have any problems with scraping? I would probably meet you at Soda Springs; so what time would we meet up, and what time are you expecting to be off the trail?

Auggie original post indicated meeting in Nevada City at 8:30 which would/should put him and anyone else from Nevada City at Cisco Grove by 9. I will be at Cisco Grove by 8:30 (I'm an early guy) just to have time for fuel, rest room and a coffee.
