So, after building several trailers, and designing several more, I've decided to start offering them for sale.

I've launched my first trailer, the MGO Owyhee. It's based on my Groot 2.0 build (seen here), and incorporates the following standard features:

  • Fiberglass coating, with Raptor Liner finish, available in several different colors
  • 4 speed vent fan, with integrated, adjustable light.
  • Multiple USB and 12v sockets
  • 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, with low temp cutoff
  • Renogy Core battery monitoring system, featuring remote monitoring, built in inclinometer, and future expandablity.
  • 30A DC-DC and Solar Combo charger (solar panels not included with standard equipment)
  • Integrated modular roof rails offer expandability, and and future upgrades
  • 3500lb Straight axle with leaf springs standard
Standard Features that aren't shown:
  • Your choice of exterior lighting (either porch style lights, or below door ground lights)
  • Roof Mounted MC4 connections for solar panels

Now, I'm sure you're wondering what the price of this would be.....

The Owyhee STARTS at $9999

We offer customization options, including fully customizing the layout of the trailer, if required.

I'm not looking to get rich building these, but I want to offer a quality product, at a reasonable price. I can do this by simplifying the design, and building it in a way that maintains quality, while keeping things simple.

I plan on offering different galley layouts in the future, as well as additional add-ons using the modular mounting rails on the roof. These will work in a very similar fashion to how I have the stove box and diesel heater module installed on my current trailer.

Interior Layout

I'm happy to answer any questions people might have. This is just my starting point. I've designed these in a way where they function as platforms, and can be modified and customized based on needs, without jacking the price of the trailer up to 25k.

Brian, I wish you all the success in your new business. I will, going forward, consider your product as in the future I desire to purchase a trailer that I can modify personally. I would note that two issues jump out at me immediately, on board water tank and rather than an axel I would prefer independent suspension with the option to match the trailer hubs to my tow vehicle.
