Just got a new rig, blank slate. I've already purchased a double din stereo but need some inspiration for rest of the components: Ham, Tablet, Cellphone

I've used rammout in the past any other ideas!

Here’s my GPS and radio setup. I’ve got a lowrance GPS and I use a Mob Armor Mobnetic 90 for my cell phone. They are about $38 and it’s the best mount I’ve used. It went through 2000 miles of the Baja peninsula with the Expedition X Off-road guys without ever moving/falling off. Very stable mount and it doesn’t take up much room on the dash. Sorry I have no pics of the mob armor mount but if you check it out online you’ll get the idea.

mob armor mount: MobNetic Pro 90 (check amazon for better pricing)

the radio setup is an Icom F5021 mounted in the dash when I first got the truck. It’s since been moved into the center console, but I’m thinking of moving it again to install a console vault there instead.

This looks interesting...Not sure if I want to drill holes in the top of my dash.

I've mounted ram mount accessory bars / rails from the seat post before but always seem just too unstable maybe this would help?

2way radio- I have a BTECH UV50X2 mounted overhead between the visors.

Cell phone-I have a RAM mount screwed to the dash that holds my phone and i use it as my entertainment system, and daily navigation device. I have the factory tape deck in my 95 XJ and run a Bluetooth cassette tape in it to listen to music/podcasts from my phone.

Tablet-I have a RAM ball mounted in the passenger side cubby hole and on trips I'll mount the tablet to that to run my topo maps and have a larger screen for night time movie watching in camp.

You have to use a second stabilizer mount higher up. In the past I've used an aircraft style rubber cable clamp to attach the bar up on the center console and also used a second ram ball mounted to the center console with a ram arm clamped around the bar to do the same thing.

I used RAM X-grip and while it worked fine I moved to Scosche magnetic mounts and like them better.
I made my own brackets to put the magnets where I wanted. Use 1 for my phone and 2 for my tablet.
The bracket for my phone is mounted off of the visor clip up by the rear view mirror so it's easy to glance at it and the tablet is mounted mostly in front of the radio. I got a radio with a remote so I don't have to touch the radio itself or even see it.
I live on dirt country roads and poorly maintained paved county roads and have never had a problem with my phone or table coming off the mount, they don't even move around at all.
For ham radio I made a bracket to hold the small control head for my dual band and will likely use a larger X-grip for my HF control head.
The dual band has it's own quick disconnect mount that the head slides out of so nothing other than a solid bracket to mount it too was needed.
The quick disconnect for the HF control head broke so I need something else to make it easily removable.

I dont blame you one bit. I didn't want to drill holes either. Luckily I found the mount I have LGE-CTS Motorsports F150 GPS mount. I went with it because it folds down when not in use so I can see over it, unlike a lot of the others I found. (Just saw you have a Tacoma so I realize that doesn’t help much haha)

i took some more pics of my mount in case it helps you get some ideas.

I like it and it would likely fit however can't find it on their site. But its a good idea maybe I can find something similar! Thanks

I am actually trying to design and build my own brackets for both my phone and IPad the holders themselves I think I have a great prototype it’s the risers and actual mounts that I am running into issues but as soon as I figure it out I will be posting to share with everyone
