Took the new RTT and the kids down to the beach this weekend. Kids loved it, I loved it. Good times. A couple things about the ARB Simpson III tent and annex. The elastic cords that pull the walls in when you fold up the tent? Yeah, they ALL broke. All four of them, two coming back and slapping me in the face for my troubles. Not cool ARB. The tent and annex held up well in 20+mph winds. Definitely need an additional foam or air mattress if you’re a fat ass like me, fairly uncomfortable stock foam. The annex is big enough for at least three large camp chairs, four if you can figure out how to stow the damn ladder, I may try cotter pins.

Yep, though I don't have the ARB RTT, I would get an upgraded mattress. I have the Tepaui, and I upgraded to the larger foam mattress. Never felt how the original mattress felt, but I can imagine. Then again, it's still better than sleeping on the ground. You've got a great setup!

Thanks! Yeah I was parked near a guy with a CVT and he added a pad as well.
