We just crossed the border yesterday into Baja. We'll be down here for 2 months and doing our best to document the journey. If you have any interest in Baja, we'll do our best to document the journey.

Here is the story of our first night: Baja Border Crossing In Tecate and First Night in Ensenada

We're about to start our 7th year of fulltime travel. And we have a 3 year old with us who has been a fulltime traveler since birth. Hope this is helpful to anyone considering the trip. ~ Eric, Brittany, and Caspian aka Jeepsies.

And a couple photos:

Most excellent!! Some street tacos & cervesa (enough for the whole class) would be nice... Enjoy!!
Come on down! We'll share some tacos with you for sure. Hey we'll be posting updates as often as we can. Just know Internet down here is really hit or miss. So I'll update this thread as we are able. ~ E

Update #3:

All the Baja Feels Overlanding Through San Felipe

The link above has information on San Felipe and Valle de los Gigantes. (Valley of the Giants). Hope it's helpful, let us know if there are any questions.

Also don't come to San Felipe in a 4x4 and not do Valley of the Giants. It is a bucket list level jaunt in this area. ~ E

Glad y'all are enjoying the series. The next installment is heading south from San Felipe to Gonzaga Bay. Good margaritas and wild camping on a beach south of town in an area called Punta Final. You can read about it all here:

Baja California From San Felipe South to Gonzaga Bay

Again, let us know if you have any questions. Internet has been pretty horrible in this area, but we are doing the best we can to keep things updated. So I have another article we'll post about the following leg of the journey in just a moment. Please let us know if y'all have any questions. ~ Eric, Brittany, and Caspian aka Jeepsies

After Gonzaga Bay we headed to Bahia de Los Angeles. This was a mix of some wild camping and an established campground where we attempted to get some wifi to update our article series. Met some pretty cool travelers and battled some wind.

Read about our Bahia de Los Angeles section here: Three Nights at Bahía de Los Ángeles, Wild Camping and Palapa Dwelling

From here we went off road about 45 miles to a remote location called Mission San Borja on the way to Guerrero Negro. This section was incredible. We're working on that article next.

How cool is 2 months in Baja! While you are there you should go see the whales in Oso de Liebre Guerrero Negro or San Ignacio. Oso de Liebre has lots more whales (<1000), San Ignacio is more pristine (500 or so), both are good. Spending a couple hours with whales is very very fun, You might not be able to touch one, but you'll be extremely close.
I just returned from 2+ weeks setting up a remote camp for Whale Magic. Shari is very good and been studying whales for 30 plus years. you can't drive to her camp, but she also does day trips in the middle of the bay. Super short boat ride to be with the whales.
There is a public camp in the inside bay at Guerrero Negro and get a whale tour also.
In San Ignacio, Kamiya Tours has a camp at the lagoon and nice. The office is on the town square.
Both towns have cave painting tours available, ask around. Mexican laws says you must have a guide to see them.

I spend quite a bit of time in Baja and if you would like to some more info. PM me.
