Divide Creek is a great suggestion! If they’re full, Heart of Glacier is next door and also a good place to stay. Because you’ll be entering from the east side, you won’t need a vehicle reservation to drive the GTTSR (assuming it has opened for the season). Just don’t go past the Apgar checkpoint on the west side, as you won’t be able to reenter until after the reservation hours have ended. If you have questions about Glacier, hit me up. July 2025 will be my 7th visit in 8 years. I may need an intervention…
Thank you! for the offer. I will be definitely taking you up on the offer.

I too would be questioning if 30 days is enough time. We went up to Tuk then across top of the world into Chicken, then on over to Fairbanks for our first hotel room of the trip. Then wandered south, to Denali, then across the Denali Highway, and headed south, wandering around as we headed home via Olympic Penninsula. 9 weeks wasn’t long enough. We considered it to be an exploratory trip and will be spending a few months more next time up. 30 days is really pushing it, but whatever you do, once up there, don’t hurry. Take it in, breathe deeply.
I would love to spend more time there exploring. Unfortunately, I am not ready to call it quits on the job. Getting 30 days off was difficult, any more would be almost impossible. Once I retire, we are planning a second, longer trip back up to Deadhorse and Tuktoyaktuk, with a lot more exploring in the schedule. Thanks
