Welcome my build thread, IlliTerra!

Good morning and Happy New Year to you all! A little short story about myself. I've been geeking about overlanding ever since my parents bought me an issue of 'Overland Journal' way back in the early 90's.

Rewinding back to 2010, I bought my first vehicle, a 2006 Jeep TJ X, in my sophomore year of college. It lasted me 7 years. By then it was time for a change, so I went for a 5th Gen 4Runner TRD OR...which lasted me for 1 month due to an eager driver who decided to risk it all by running through a traffic device while on red (RIP little runner). PS, both myself and the striking driver left the scene A-OK

Now we are in the year 2020! I have been building my replacement vehicle for a bit. Now I finally have the funds to venture off on short trips here and there, plus do what I was destined to do...travel and explore!

So I'll be compiling several photos of my build so far as well as documenting the process and my travels during this grateful experience.

So apparently I created a duplicate build by accident and I don't know how it happened. Regardless I'll just be updating this one.

Yeah, both frontiers and xterras. Such a solid platform paired with reliability and without the outrageous resale prices.

They seem to be enjoying a surge in popularity lately. Maybe it's just me & Nissans. They're great trucks, at least in my experience.
Especially where I'm currently at (Midwest/Illinois) all I see are Jeeps and Toyotas. It's nice to drive a Nissan and get looks/thumbs ups from lovers of the above manufacturers
