Hi guys, looking for interested folks to do the IDBDR this summer, perhaps the end of July / early August. It's about 9 days long, but you can also just do portions of it. I'm putting feelers out there to see if there's any interest. It would likely start in Sandpoint ID and end in Jarbidge NV. Another option is the Colorado BDR, which is about 6 days. Both are gorgeous. But first, we need to wait out this damn virus. Stay healthy. Cheers, Mike

@Sandpoint Steve @David H @reaver @Dilldog @David C Gibbs help put some feelers out here guys... this looks like a fun trip... I’m tied up with the WABDR in June, and the Northwest Regional Campout is the beginning of September (if virus hasn’t kept us locked in). So this might be a good end of summer trip.

Thanks for the invite Mike! I'm DEFINITELY interested in doing this, as this virus is making most of my trips this year unlikely. As of right now, I don't know if 9 days is doable, unless I bring the wife and kid, and I don't know if that will play out.

We'll start discussing it though.

Sounds awesome but this year is booked for me; WABDR hopefully and Nevada in Sept. Will keep an eye on this. Thanks!

I navigated all dirt from Wallace to Boise years back on my KLX. Im not sure if what I followed is actually the IBDR, im sure some of it was, but there were some very dicey parts of the trail that I wouldnt want to run the Escape on.

Hard to say, but Wallace ID is definitely on the BDR. So like you said, you were probably on parts of it. I did it on a R1200GS and my friends were in Tacomas. They didn't have any sketchy parts. Is your Escape kitted out for this type of adventure?

Doesn't have to be 9 days. That's the beauty of it; you can bail out in any town and head home. If you're not familiar with the route, check out ridebdr.com and have a look.
