I have an idea.. what are your thoughts?

I have a 2016 Toyota Tundra.. I REALLY like the versatility of the CANBACK bed cover systems..http://www.can-back.com/

I've been thinking that I might be able to build something close and make it more "utility" at the same time..I have thought of purchasing something like this.

I live in Amish country and could get the tarp work done relatively inexpensively..Do you think I should wait until the CANBACK becomes available for my Tundra or should I move on with my planning and get the framework? I used to be a metal fabricator/welder so I am able to add bracing or even weld it solidly where the joints are..Thoughts??

Sounds like you have the plan and the ability to get it done...build it. But put your name on the list.

Do it yourself you never know it might be better if not you can always get one when they are available for your vehicle
