I built my dream machine. Just coming up on a decade of bringing home a bone stock 2013 toyota tacoma with the intent of making a super reliable old-school build. It started off as an off-road rig that I could take anywhere, and eventually blossomed into something I could camp in almost anywhere as well. I Couldn't even estimate all the time and energy I have put into this, but I can say it was completely worth it and I would do it all again. Much love and appreciation to all of those that helped me along the way, from friends helping me learn many new skills including fiber glassing, to helping me take my truck apart to do what needed to be done. To go from holding a belief of not being too mechanically inclined before diving into this, to having to implement full out custom fabrication to eradicate issues that left the setup unusable. I'm super grateful for all that this journey with the timeless taco has taught me, and the immense richness it has added to my life. I've always been big on utilizing new technologies to bring me closer to nature, rather than separating, distracting me from this amazing experience. Of all the things I have done, this creation is the epitome of that.

Much love and appreciation to all of you over the years with your kind words and encouragement. There were times in this journey that I felt as if I was hammering away and not getting anywhere. To experience the excitement of others on all the little details, and for it to inspire conversation of others biggest dreams and aspirations, it has certainly made the flame worth the candle on this endeavor. Happy creating everyone, and never hesitate to shoot me a message should you have questions on anything with your build

I like it! A very nice build. I love something small, light, and self-contained. Looks like you could get around anywhere with this. I'm guessing you custom built this yourself?

Thank you!!! and yes sir, that was the name of the game for me. That's why the flippac was my dream camper to find and took over 2 years of daily searching.... and that was to find one not even in working order hahah. They are super rare and have many design flaws. my fabrication eradicated the main fail points, and has helped other owners bring theirs back to life! I knew when I made the commitment I was stepping into uncharted territory and it was going to be quite the process. There's so little that was known about these, and almost every thread you come across about people fixing them just suddenly ends. So really the most problematic and troubleshooting required platforms there is, but i thought the flame was worth the candle, and I'm so stoked i saw it through. WIth the fabrication I implemented, it's a solid setup. How they were designed, you're asking for issues. Major props to the guys that came up with the design though, really some magic that they figured out hahah. People really lose their minds when they see it in person
