Looking for real world reviews/suggestions on Hub Tents. Just sold my FSR Adv 55” not too long ago (not because I didn’t enjoy it), will hopefully be reloading on some sort of tent, whether it’s a RTT or not, and was looking at the FSR Hub6 and the Gazelles. I’ve had very food luck with FSR products to this point, but the tent is so new I’m not really finding any feedback on them yet.
What are some quick deployment tents/HUB tents that you guys have seen or used, and what were the pluses and minuses you experienced?

We have a Gazelle T4 and like it; sets us/tears down quickly, made of quality materials, only need to be staked/tied down in big winds, I am tall and can stand fully upright in it. On the downside it packs up large (long) and you will need a dedicated spot to put it while driving.

I have a Gazelle T3 and it is the best ground tent I've ever owned. Setup and take down is super fast and yes it packs long but it comes with an oversized bag that makes loading the tent back into the bag really easy compared to other ground tents I've had. Spent a night on Mount Mitchell in NC last fall with winds of 20-30 mph and heavy rain all night with a 53 degree temp and the tent was dry and warm!

I usually camp with a Mountain Hardware Trango 4-Season tent, but a recent trip to Colorado we were going to be basecamping, so I upgraded to the T4 Gazelle.

One thing I was worried about was how it would handle rain, and it did great. - Quick Video of it here

Plenty of room inside, and set up was a breeze. Takes a lot more room then my Trango ( and weighs a lot more too ) so there is a trade off for overall comfort.

Fits inside the 4Runner fine with the second row seat down.

Another vote for a Gazelle, though we don't have one of the hub tents we do have the gazebo and it's been great. Easy setup and teardown, well built. If we were in the market for a tent one of the Gazelles would be at the top of the list.

Gazelle T4 user here. Setup is quick, tear down is quicker, guy out the hubs in stiff winds. Camped in it in multiple thunderstorms now in Arkansas and it slept well. I'm 5 8 and can stand up in it with headroom to spare. My dad and I just spent a week straight in it in Colorado moving daily, and we would put 2 cots in it pushed into the center and had walking storage space on each side of the tent with our own doors. It is large, if I'm camping solo I can put it in the back of my XJ corner to corner in the cargo area, when I camp with the kids or whatnot I strap it on the roof.

I believe that's a 3 person Kelty on the right.

Gazelle T4+ Overland Ed. Had the rainfly on due to threat of overnight showers. Not a good tent picture but you get to see the rainfly and overall size. It's big and roomy. Basically 2 T4's. Two big cots and lots of extra space.20220515_180117.png
