You know you've over done it just a bit when it comes to how much stuff to take on an overland adventure when your rig looks like this:

Egads!

There's even stuff out front underneath, and that's a wild extended rear hitch tray. Hard to tell if that's a tree behind the van or if it's growing out of all the stuff he has up top. Hate to see the inside of that thing. . .

The problem for me with something like this is what I'm looking for always seems to be on the bottom of the pile, no matter how many times I rearrange my gear.

Notice he has stopped at the Yeti store! presumably to get a bigger cooler so he can carry more. lol
No, it's so he can replace the Yeti cooler that the U.S. Govt' declared a superfund bio-hazard waste site. Jezus, there are overlanders, and then there are hippies. I hope to never cross that line that carries one into hippie-dom..........

I’d imagine that is everything they own and they live on the road. They are probably living the life than some of us dream of, albeit Beverly Hillbillies style, traveling around the country to do everything they want to do. And with the “climbing gym” on the side ( which looks like it raises as you open the camper top), I’d imagine that involves a lot of climbing.

Ahhh! I figured it out, his wife said "If you go overlanding one more time, pack all your shit and don't come back!". It looks like he made the right choice!! LOL

No one's gonna comment on the climbing wall built onto the side? At least, I think that's what those things are...
Ah, I think you might be right; I couldn't figure out if those things were hanging loose or not, then realized there were no shadows.

But, you know, we could all be grossly misjudging what is going on. The owner of the vehicle could be moving, or going through some stuff none of us hope to ever go through and is in a bit of a tight spot, or any number of other things, and all they have is their wheels. We really shouldn't judge, not knowing the facts.

I'm not sure what the guy's story is. I saw the picture posted on another forum. The person who posted the picture on the other forum talked to the guy a bit when they saw him in MOAB. His rig has been spotted around Colorado and Utah a few times. The rock climbing hand holds have mini-LED lights in them for night time rock climbing. Not sure if I wanna know what the handcuffs hanging off the side of the rear storage box are for...... Here's a pic from a sighting of the same rig in January of this year. Apparently he didn't need as much gear for this trip :tonguewink:
