I was thinking of poor mans fiberglass which consists of wood glue, canvas and latex paint.I wanted to fiberglass it. But I dont think my budget will allow me.

I did that on mine, PMF that is.. The cheap canvas, well looks like cheap canvas when done. Using a good cloth (duck is really nice) and using a quality paint (so it will last) prices out right about the same as 'glassing. I will 'glass next time. Did a cost comparison on TNTT with another that loves fiberglass, we were but a few dollars off of each other.I was thinking of poor mans fiberglass which consists of wood glue, canvas and latex paint.

I have passed the point of being able to do that. But the latches I'm using it would be close to impossible for it to fail.Looks great so far. If you haven't passed the point of no return, i'd encourage you to include a street side door as well. You never know when a particular campsite will make one side versus the other more convenient. A scond door also gives you a backup in case a door lock were to ever fail.
