There are 2 campgrounds in the Upper Ranch, which is the 4X4 area. The Obstacle Course camp and Sycamore Camp. Sycamore is less exposed to wind and has FREE hot showers! While there are rumors that prices are going up, currently it only costs $10 per night and includes the normal $5 a day trail use fee! Where can you camp for $5 a night?!?!!

Let me know when you want to head out there and I'd be happy to show you around. Currently, the park is a slippery, muddy mess with almost 3" of rain in the last week. The dirt there varies but much of it has a high clay content which makes it super slick when wet.

Very cool Brian! I would love to have a guide, especially one with an Xterra Pro4X. Just got mine and have yet to take it out. I have another buddy in the North Bay that would be interested too. Perhaps when the rain lets up, we can get an overnighter worked out with a few people on the board.
