Hole in the Rock Trail - HITR in Utah

Some friends of mine did the trail a few years back and I'm looking forward to completing it one day in the future. Coming from back east it's tuff to prioritize everything within our annual 4-6 week timeframe. I'd like to include Hole in the Rock as a side trail with our trip from Moab to Valley of the Gods, via Elephant Hill, scheduled for late April. Hmmmm. You guys and this old thread have given this trip planner something to think about.

OK, for anyone that is interested, I spoke to some club members that have been there and done it.. stock rigs with lockers can make it through, but say goodbye to your stock bumpers and quite possibly a body panel or two, depending on the driver. A stock 4Runner “Trail”, and a lifted Chevy Colorado ain’t gonna get it.
