The wilco hitchgate looks pretty beefy and the company is pretty reputable. Didn't see the hitch but there other products ive seen first hand are very well made. I was thinking about one for my 4runner.

Wilco was also one of the supporters of Off the Grid if that helps anything.

Corrie and Michael are pretty particular with who they will associate the OB brand with.

So how bad is it that my first reaction when I saw the title of the thread was.. what scandal is this? Haha.

I've been debating between Wilco or fabbing an entire rear bumper/carrier. Been leaning towards a bumper but that's mainly because it would solve other Subaru 'issues'. My wife is truly going to hate this thing.

Wilco just came out with one that's designed to work with subaru's.

Yeah I'm familiar with the lighter weight Solo. There are aspects that I certainly like about it but unfortunately there are some that I don't when compared to a hard mounted swing out. It's a pricey bugger. Especially considering that I would need to either purchase and use a hitch I don't like or go custom with my bumper anyway.
