Hello Jimmy Schantz , here with the Question of the day. High Lift Jack's, Where is the best place to mount your High Lift Jack?
On the hood?
On the Roll Bar?
On the Tire Carrier?
Front or Rear Bumper?
Now i know it all depends on your rig!! right so lets see what you have.

I recommend keeping it somewhere easily accessible if you don't want to waste time. If you have a ton of room, secure it in the cabin. If it has already been outside for 20 years like mine, it can stay out.

Be VERY careful storing heavy items like a High Lift inside your vehicle. Make sure it is SECURELY fastened to the floor as it could KILL you in a rollover accident. I survived a multi rollover accident and was extremely lucky that I was not injured. While I did not have a High Lift in the cab, I did have a cooler full of food and drinks and a tool bag (about 30 lbs.) that made the experience similar to being in a running clothes dryer full of bricks!

High Lift makes some good mounts and locking knobs to secure your jack from thieves. I built this roof rack which carries my traction boards, Rotopax gas container and High Lift.IMG_4715.JPG

I store mine behind the rear seats. The new body style Cherokee has sliding rear seats that leaves a perfect long storage space long enough for a hilift, shovel and an old ammo box with a compressor in it. It’s bolted to the floor to prevent me from taking a hi lift to the back of the head in an accident.

20180704_171204-800x600.jpg Not a great pic, but mine rides on the hood. My intent was to help offset my overly stiff front springs, and maintain as much room as possible for cargo in the rear without messing with stuff on the roof.
