Goodmorning everyone.
I am Roberto, for friends Robertino (little Robert). I am 57 years old. I am a liver and kidney transplant. I'm italian. I live in Torino, in the Piedmont region, and I travel explorations and adventures in the mountains of this region (the mountains of the 2006 Winter Olympics), and through the countryside and hills of the Tuscany region, in the Orcia valley (near Siena). I have a 1944 Willys Overland MB. It is totally original and still works very well today. I prefer to use it for what it is: an off-road 4x4. Adventure and exploration in nature. I have raced in the past on the road, in rallies, and until 2017 I have raced in France, on the track, in the Formula Ford championship.
I taste life. I love nature.
Thanks to you.
Best and friendly greetings to all.
Robertino.

If not for this danged virus, I'd fly out there just for the privilege to take a ride with you!

Thank you! The Willys MB is a fantastic vehicle! The grandmother of all off-road vehicles, the first vehicle in the world with 4x4 drive. As a young man I went to school to race on the road and on the track with formula cars with open wheels. But I've never gone to off-road school. Yet, with this old grandmother jeep, named Terry, we have overcome difficult adventurous paths together, such as streams with large boulders, or almost impenetrable woods and steep fields. Terry is unsurpassed! I can show you some photographs (all in Tuscany) in which the jeep still has the "military" look. In fact, from this September I decided to demilitarize her and give her a civilized aspect, without numbers and writings. I was inspired by the Willys that Steve McQueen had. Ivory rims wheels, etc. With this aesthetic I don't have photos yet, but in the future I will take them and you will see them. See you soon!

Wow, I grew up in the shadow of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and am a HUGE open wheel racing fan! Of course, Mario Andretti is one of my all time favorite race drivers in the world! I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I have met his twin brother, Aldo.

That Jeep is just amazing. Not just for the history, but for its capability, just as much!

We have an off-road park a little over an hour from where I live called The Badlands. I've seen the Willy's MB groups come in there and just amaze everyone with what they can do. Here is a video that I love to watch.

I'm envious of what you get to experience with that pure Jeep in the beautiful land you get to explore with it!

Thanks Robert. I don't use "social" a lot. I gladly accepted the invitation from the whatsapp group. Perfect!
