Thanks. I don't have actual overland trails around me. But I make do with what I got. Swampy mess and forest roads are better than traffic and the masses any day though.

Hey man. I'm from nola and also trying to get into over landing. I found a few spots in Mississippi that I wanna check out. And also looking into building a trailer, but I have no place to store it bc of the apt life.
Yea, its hard to find any around here. Kisatchie national forest has a few forest service roads to run, but that's about it. I'm in the lafayette area so it's about 2.5 hours north of me near Alexandria. There's also Catahoula recreation up in sicily island that has a bunch of trails, but I haven't been so no first hand knowledge of the place.

I have a friend that goes up there alot and she loves the area. She said the best time to go is during the week if your going to camp. During the weekend it gets packed.

Hi Shwane, I just joined up too and am looking forward to exploring both this site and outdoors.
It tends to pack up in good weather, but if you take some trails and set up base camp outside of the campgrounds its not that bad
