Hello, I'm new to the forum. I've loved the idea of expedition vehicles ever since I was a kid watching The God's Must be Crazy II. Something about the self-sustaining/self-reliant adventure lit a spark in me. My job has me all over the country every few months so I've been blessed to spend a lot of time driving around this beautiful country and haven't tired of it one bit. I would consider myself a competent overlander, although I'd never really defined it that way until now. I grew up with backwoods camping from early on up to the present but never realized 'overlanding' got me to and from those experiences.

I'm currently taking my time at building up a '12 Ram 2500 as my camp wagon. It's been good to me, and think I can claim the opposite. This is how far we've gotten so far:IMG_7256.JPG

Hey @JoeRadio - welcome to OB from a fellow long-time long-distance traveler. I'll be interested to see what else you do to your Ram 2500 for back-country driving and camping. I had a Dodge club cab with full length bed with a small clamp-on camper shell I drove all over the US. Had a 360, and man, that thing could climb a wall, though only rwd. I took it places meant for Jeeps and short wb only, and never once had a problem. The insides of my camper shell got pretty scrambled, but man I had fun with that thing.

Poke around, lots of great folks here willing to help with just about anything.

See you out there somewhere, someday.
