Hello Everyone!

We are Emily & Dirk, living in the SF Bay Area.
Our truck is a 1987 STEYR 12M18 - Austrian military truck, refurbished by EXCAP with a KRUG cabin.
His name is 'Guhonda' - named after a 500-pound Silverback Mountain gorilla that we saw during a trip to Rwanda.
We are experienced travelers/overlanders - but definitely 'greenhorns' when it comes to extreme off-roading.
Our truck is currently in Germany and we plan (dream of) shipping it to Montevideo and drive it up the Panamericana ...

I can't believe I have not checked out this forum earlier - Great Information !!!

Glad you found us! I am the Bay Area member rep and I can help connect you to meet ups that are happening near you. In Pleasanton CA there is a meet up on the second Sunday’s of the month and it has a great regular turn out and active. The Tri-Valley (Pleasanton) group has number of plans already laid out for June through November. Our next meet up will be July 12th, in person!
