I just wanted to say hello from Atlanta Georgia. I see there are a few people here from not that far and hope to meet you all on the trails. I'm also looking to join an overlanding group/club and just get out there and see what's in my back yard. I have had 4x's all my life but only one that was "hardcore". I had a Wrangler when i was younger and actually hated it. I just recently got a smoking deal on a Discovery 2 and am about to begin my trip down the rabbit hole of getting her prepped for overlanding.
I plan to do the Georgia traverse at the end of summer this year, so that gives me just a few short months to get the Disco prepped. It's not that serious of a trail and im sure the Disco is capable of completing it in stock form.. but that's just no fun. Plus, the wife knows how serious I am about doing this trip and that I will need a few "necessities" to complete this goal.
