Nice! Kinda pricey but looks like something new and innovative. Looks like they are only offering campers for trucks as of now though. I’ll be keeping an eye out as I hope To buy a rooftop next year.

Sounds like they want create a more affordable option to the oh so spendy Habitat Topper. But from the looks of it they could very easily turn it into a stand alone rtt.

Hey Guys,

This is Graeme from Go Fast Campers. I would be totally happy to answer any questions you guys have here if thats OK with the mods here.

I don't think we are trying to compete with anyone directly in the canopy/rtt space, we basically just wanted to make a product that we saw didn't exist in the US market. In addition to making a westfalia style topper, we wanted it to be incredibly durable, ultralightweight and affordable. Every component is manufactured and assembled in our shop up in Bozeman MT, and I think the build quality will surprise most everyone. We have tons of billet CNC machined components, and basically zero off the shelf parts. Additionally every component is designed to be serviceable or replaceable in case something bad happens, like a tree falling on your car.

The upper portion will be offered as a standalone RTT. Some of the cool stuff about that is that our tent portion is only 6" tall when closed, weighs 120# and also doubles as a roof rack. The entire exterior of the RTT frame is our own custom extrusion with T-slots for mounting things like cross bars, awnings, hi lift jacks, roto-pax and our own roofracks.

Best,

-g

If you need someone to do some testing in Seattle area rain, I guess I could be willing to let you put one of your awesome campers on my Tacoma.

I'm also very interested in this.
I would like to see a good screen option for those of us that live in the mosquito belt.
I don't see how a Habitat or similar would keep the bugs out without some kind of extra screen door.
I have a RTT now, but my girlfriend is not crazy about the ladder and the Go-Fast looks great except for the screen issue.
I really think there is an opportunity here for someone to make a product for the rest of us who don't live in the desert.

Dcwn, we are actually working on a stowable, quick deployment bug screen for the rear entryway (hatch/tailgate). The "upstairs" windows are screened. Totally get the struggle, and it is something we plan to address.

We are also planning to release an insulation kit for winter 18/19 that will likely be released in the fall. It consists of a heavier weight upper fabric and an insulation kit for the lower.
