Hello, All.
Presented here is my 2003' Discovery II, Gnasher.
I've had Gnasher for about four years now, and have done every bit of work on him myself.
Not entirely sure what all to put in here... Hopefully what I do will cover most of the basics.
Gnasher, before I began putting heavy work in.
(Note: Vehicle didn't come with anything on it. It was a well maintained, but stock vehicle. After much scouring of the internet, I scored the roof rack for $400, and the rear ladder for $50, also the brush guard for $200..)
After the paint job: I did paint the roof.
After I installed the Tactical4x4 front bumper.
Engine:
4.6L Bosch V8
Build:
I haven't done anything to the motor, and I haven't changed any of the drive train out with heavier components (yet). Differential gearing and T-Box gearing remain the same as stock. Later, I would like to put 30% crawler gears into the T-Box and beef up the differentials.
Otherwise, I've done.
Lucky8 front drive shaft
Snorkel (oh did it hurt cutting out those 70mm holes)
Rock sliders
Tactical4x4 front bumper
Terrafirma medium duty lift kit
Voyager racks roof rack
x6 18 watt Cree LED lights
Rear door ladder
Modified tire carrier w/ CB antenna hook up
CB Radio and RAM-X mount for my iPad-mini installed onto front dash.
Re-painted the rig to military #383, Olive Drab.
Hand built limb risers
Hand built Hi-Lift carriers onto the roof rack
Installed axe and shovel mounts onto the roof rack
BF Goodrich TKO2's @ 265-75-16
What I have left:
a.Re-gearing T-Box and differentials
b.Installing FarmTek double-ply poultry kennel flooring onto the roof rack as flooring
c.Building a storage system for the rear cargo hold of the Rover, with a center box designed to handle extra communications devices.
d. Build and install a drawer system for the roof rack, which will hold a 100 watt solar panel, that will be used to supply a Goal Zero 400wh Yeti, for section C.
e. Re-build the lighting system for the roof rack and front bumper
f. install a dual CB antenna system onto the front bumper, for my dash CB
g. Install a winch.
Now, I need to get out onto some adventures!
Thanks for taking a look
~Ryan
