I own a 2004 F250 6.0 SB Supercab. I had a regular snugtop camper shell and built a drawer thing that I could store gear and sleep on the top. It was difficult to camp in. I wanted something I could stand up in. I found this slide in camper super cheap because it had fallen off the stands. Didnt think it would that big of a challenge. Get some Jack's and slide it in. Well it was on one helluva hill in both directions. Had a friend helped me, we spent 9 hrs just getting if off the ground and level. We got it about 2' off the ground before we decided to take another route and purchase purpose made Jack's. Still another 4 hrs later and some sincere concern we got it in the bed of my truck. I know this thing needs some work, like the fridge doesn't work, and patching where the old Jack's ripped out, but I'm excited about what's to come.Screenshot_20190525-194735_Facebook.jpegScreenshot_20190525-194730_Facebook.jpeg

So we got it on the truck and got it to my house. Even when we got it back to the house we realized we had nowhere super level to put it and work on it. So I built a cart for it. It works decent. I can move it around on flat by myself, but I'd already like to upgrade the casters. I used inflatable ones, it was a mistake. My gut told me better. I ripped the fridge out and pulled off the old Jack brackets. Gotta do some paid work the next couple days but I'll be sure to keep this going. Also, any input appreciated. LMK if I'm being an idiot or you think something is clever.20190603_185928.jpeg20190603_192648.jpeg20190604_175037.jpeg20190604_191235.jpeg

Third update. We got the black pearl stable and my yard and commenced with demolition, which really wasn't much. Ripped up some floor that had not been put down very well, took all the cabinet doors off, took out the water tank and cleaned it. There was alot of cleaning and even just the elbow grease made it seem nicer. The vinyl doesn't sparkle but it looks way better thanks to my girl. We sprayed the interior with a black solution and let it sit in case of any mildew. Made a trip to our local hardware store, grabbed some paint and some vinyl flooring. Started painting and got wore out. Painting these little areas is a pita. Whoever painted this thing yellow before [emoji58] 20190609_102228.jpeg20190609_102233.jpeg20190609_102239.jpeg20190609_102249.jpeg20190609_102302.jpeg20190609_102306.jpeg

A few more things done. I removed the grill guard to build a front hitch. Nothing too serious but itll probably hold a ton. 1/4" plate connection to chassis so I'm not real worried about it. Also picked up material to make hitch receiver things. A bumper dumper, hammock holder, extra deck, etc etc.
Got some new shoes! A little larger than stock at 275/85/18. He doesn't look like an earl anymore. Gonna do regular maintenance of the truck tmw. ALL THE FILTERS! Wanna make sure my vehicle is the least of my worries.20190614_184529.jpeg20190614_134346.jpeg20190610_200249.jpeg

Been super busy and needed rest, got back to it today. So I replaced the flooring. I hate yellow with a passion. Gives me anxiety. I just used all weather sticky vinyl from the local hardware store. Got all the doors back in but need latches, gonna use tension style instead of locking. Making my own handles out of aluminum to cover holes. Also made new bracket for front mounts because the old ones ripped out. Thinking about putting a bedslide in my truck for easier loading. Anyone ever tried this before?20190701_182602.jpeg20190701_182507.jpeg20190701_182457.jpeg
