Hey guys, hopefully this is a simple questiion to answer. The best place for me to mount my GMRS would be on this shelf. I've not been able to figure out how to remove the shelf as I need to drill holes through it to mount the radio bracket using small bolts and a backing plate, run the coax and run the power lines. It is the perfect place for the radio as it will be up off the floor and I'll be able to easily see the screen. I do not care for the hand held mic with screen. Anyone knowing the secret to getting this shelf off will win a small prize from me, ( think a snifter of single malt or a glass of bourbon around
the campfire. Thanks in advance!

I have a 2014 F350 but when I took my dash apart, that front bezel around the stereo hid all my screws to the other panels. It sucks but you might have to take off 3-4 pieces just to get to that bottom kick tray. I googled it but everything I saw had the center console and yours doesn't. Best of luck. I would be interested in knowing the solution.

I flush mounted mine below the shifter. The picture makes it look like it is in the way but it isn't. I am a lefty so the mic is perfect and I can see it thru the steering wheel! Also super easy to disconnect and remove.
