Gatlinburg, Tn Area

Hey folks! The wife and I are going to be in Gatlinburg this weekend for a little time away and I was wondering if there's any places I need to check out outside of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Just some pretty drives or little restaurants to check out for a couple hours driving in the woods. Not sure we'll really do anything, but if the mood to wander hits, I'd like to have some options already on the table.

We usually go to that area a couple times a year so I'm not new to the touristy parts of it, just wondering about the outlying areas.

Those are a little further out than we plan on venturing this trip. This is more of a mental retreat than an exploring trip. Thanks for the recommendations though. We're hoping to explore those next spring though!
