If get the military version. The civilian ones are thinner and don't seal as well. I have both. The red will self vent.one of this ? made by scepter

Yes, those are good as well... Though they can get very pricy. I bought a pair of cheap knockoff steel cans.... FYI... They seal well enough that if you have them on your roof rack in the sun they will inflate and warp under the pressure.... I now have one can that is creased and disfigured, but the crimp/weld held, so not bad for cheap knockoffs!or , vavian steel

This is no where near the quality of the Scepter Military Fuel Cans. I've used both military surplus NATO metal cans and the Scepters MFCs with a strong preference for the latter. Unfortunately, its getting very difficult to find the Scepter cans in the US at any sort of reasonable price since they're no longer commercially available (possibly due to US air pollution regs??). If you can find them and will be using them for gas rather than diesel, be sure the cap gaskets are Viton (grayish black) and you'll also need a spout and a wrench. There seems to be a fairly robust market on ebay for all the components.one of this ? made by scepter
